A Higher Calling for Senior Care

Since taking care of my Grandma Bean as a teenager, I have enjoyed working with and accompanying older adults.

I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from The George Washington University. My planned specialty is working with adults, particularly seniors, who have neurological diseases or injuries, such as those recovering from a stroke.

My previous educational credentials include a B.A. in Political Science, earned in 2017, and an M.A. in Linguistics, earned in 2020, both from Boston College.

I have worked in a number of language-focused fields, including my ongoing work as a freelance writer and editor.

Outside of work and school, my hobbies include knitting, crochet, sewing, singing, and practicing my Russian.

Why Saint Zita?

Zita of Lucca was a servant in Medieval Italy. Pious, dutiful, and generous, it was said that angels completed her chores for her if she was late returning home from daily Mass.

She served the same family for 60 years and was hailed as a saint by the people of Lucca even during her lifetime.

Canonized by the Catholic Church, Zita is the patron saint of household workers. I chose Saint Zita as the namesake of my business because she exemplifies the belief that humble service to others is a higher calling.
